A metallic floor is a system: diamond grind and repair, test the slab for moisture, prime, hand-work the metallic coat, then protect it with a polyaspartic or urethane topcoat. Epoxy alone yellows in sunlight.

At about 77°F, epoxy typically takes light foot traffic in 16–24 hours, vehicles in 24–72 hours, and reaches full cure in 5–7 days. Cold weather slows that sharply.

New concrete should cure 28–30 days before coating, and the slab should stay at least 5°F above dew point during the work.
